Penrose 76th Annual Apple Day Schedule

7:00 am – 4:00 pm
(Subject to last minute changes)
Theme: “150 Years of History-Trappers to Tourists“
6:00 am VFW Breakfast (biscuits & gravy, breakfast burritos, coffee, &
orange juice)
Penrose Volunteer Fire Department: will also be serving breakfast
( pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, & choice of coffee, juice, or milk )
Adults- $5; 12 & under-Free
7:00 am Penrose Park & Recreation Breakfast
7:30 am-8: 00 am Apple pies for contest are to go to the Wells Fargo Bank Community
room. Other pies will go to pie tent, in front of car wash.
8:00 am Penrose Park & Rec – all day festivities, beginning with breakfast, Co-Ed & Men’s Softball Tournament, and a Dance is scheduled.
8:00 am Penrose Elementary School- Fun Run (Penrose School health trail)
9:00 am-4:00 pm Vendors, along Broadway and on side streets of Fremont Ave.
Antique Car Show on north side of Fremont Ave.
Senior Center: Craft Fair
Penrose School PTO will hold a silent auction
9:00 am-2:00 pm Library Book Sale
10:00 am Parade Lineup
10:30 am Pre- Parade
11.00 am Parade
VFW will be serving Brats, Chips, & drink-$5 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
12:00/noon Stage Announcements & Awards. Winners from Parade and Apple
Pie Contest.
Senior Center – Lunch – Pulled Pork Sandwich, Homemade Potato
Salad ,Baked Beans, & Drink- $5 Ice Cream-$.50 Scoop
Kirkwood Church – Lunch – Lasagna & Chicken Noodle (A-$6, Sr.-$5,
6-12-$3, & 5 & under- free)
Free slice of Apple Pie will be handed out in pie tent (next to Chamber
Tent)
11:00-3:00 pm VFW- Atomic Fireballs Band (no cover charge)
3:00 pm Classic Car Show Awards
12:30 pm -3:30 pm Live Entertainment on stage:
